The Hague
In The Hague I live close to the sea. The infinite surface appears to be limited only by the beach and the horizon. The water moves continuously and changes color and shape every moment. I watch the waves rise for a moment and then disappear into the great body of water. It is fascinating that every wave is different.

The next series of paintings is about how we observe with the help of technology, because we see less and less with the naked eye. We now mainly use photos, films, ultrasounds, scans and screens to view our world. We see our dreams in a holiday brochure, the fertilization of life through a microscope, and make a picture of the birth of the universe that resembles a swimming pool.
